Ngao works in their local community in the fight against HIV/AIDS and drug use by organizing seminars, debates and sport tournaments. By doing so, they’re linked to many other organizations such as the Student Platform Worldwide (SPW), YMCA, YITA, TACAIDS and Dance 4 Life. As a group, they also aim to relieve their members of economic constraints by producing maize flour. The group began as an informal group in 2003. In 2006, the youth group was registered as a NGO. Currently they have about 60 members.
